Message from Dr. Sujeewa Vithanage
The chief ayurvedic physician of Seth Suva Ayurvedic Hospital has the following message for all. “It is important to remember that we are all human beings. All other conditions, states and positions come thereafter. Suffering is the greatest pain that a human being can endure. Thus the adage that health is wealth will all times be true. We as human beings ought to always consider the well being of another. If we can help another, then that is our greatest achievement.” “I have continued my medical practice with compassion and dedication.
It is noteworthy to mention here that a large number of my patients are poverty-stricken. They have however old their lands and belongings in search of other cures. When they come to me as last resort, they are helpless. Thus financial considerations and profit are the last things I consider in my patients. In fact, there is no time or presence of mind to think about making a profit at that time. It is pertinent to mention here at all our medical prodcucts are made here with fresh produce. Herbs are brought here fresh, sometimes from India and Egypt. But many of our herbs are from the local forests. Some of the herbs need to be cut, washed and dried and these processes are done under strict hygienic conditions.
Thus we have all our cure under one roof.” “I do not charge for the treatment of children. I believe that if someone somewhere in the world is experiencing pain, suffering and discomfort, then it is my first consideration that I make them well”. “I strongly believe that those in the medical professions – especially in ayurveda are here for a purpose – that is to cure and not make an extravagant living out of the profession.”
